The Best and Biggest in Their Class | These modern single-cylinder overhead valve engines boast a displacement of 138 cc's, the largest in this class of portables. In addition to their displacement advantage, the DF4 and DF6 are the first portables to use Suzuki's exclusive digital capacitor discharge ignition system. This advanced design combines the ignition coil and control processor into a single, corrosion-resistant unit that precisely controls the ignition timing and features a built-in rev-limiter.
Handles Beautifully
The tiller handle is mounted on the steering bracket which allows the operator to sit well forward, improving weight distribution. A full 180 degrees of steering offers excellent maneuverability in all conditions. Then there's the large carrying handle which makes it easy to pick up and go! |

Start with a 3-cylinder, single overhead cam powerhead. Add three valves per cylinder to ensure optimum engine breathing for max power and muscular torque. Bolt on triple Mikuni carbs with accelerator pumps to ensure the engine leaps to life every time you crack the throttle. Wire up a digital CDI ignition for quick starts and smooth response. Then add available power trim and tilt to take complete control of the action.
Inexpensive to Run and Environmentally Friendly
The DF25 and DF30 deliver fuel economy that's up to 80% better than comparable 2-strokes. They both feature an automotive-type timing chain which uses an automatic chain tensioner to improve dependability and extend service life. And both already meet the strict 2006 federal exhaust emission standards. |

At Suzuki, we think the perfect outboard motor is one you never have to think about. So that's the thinking behind our Suzuki DF40 and DF50 fuel injected 3-cylinder 4-strokes. They start first time, every time. Run great. Get outstanding fuel mileage. And need very little attention.
More Fun, Less Fuss | Solid state ignition ensures the engine starts without complaint and idles smoothly. Multi-point sequential fuel injection matches the air-fuel mixture precisely to the engine's needs for crisp throttle response. The tuned intake manifold delivers strong low-to-mid-range torque for brisk acceleration. Yet, fuel economy is up to 75% better than equivalent 2-stroke motors, and up to 30% better than competitive carbureted 4-strokes.
Sounds Easy
These motors run nice and quiet thanks to tighter-fitting cowlings and long-track intake manifolds. An enclosed timing chain and automatic chain tensioner eliminate the need for periodic adjustment. Best of all, both the DF40 and DF50 meet the 2006 EPA federal exhaust emission standards and have received the 3-Star Ultra Low emissions rating from the California Air Resources Board (CARB). |

The Suzuki DF140 has the best power-to-weight ratio of any 4-stroke in its class. It pumps out 140 horses, yet weighs just 410 pounds ready to rig. That's lighter than a competitive 130 4-stroke and even a 2-stroke 135! What's that mean to you? Speed!
The less weight you haul around, the faster you go. And no 140 weighs less than ours.
H20 Hot Rod | Suzuki stuffs a lot of go-fast technology into that 410 pounds. We're talking about things like dual overhead cams, four valves per cylinder, tuned intake manifold and 4-into-2-into-1 exhaust system. An overall 2.38:1 gear ratio lets the DF140 turn a big prop for instant acceleration and phenomenal top-end performance. Even the engine cover features a large induction port to provide maximum airflow for maximum power.
